Alert Actions

Manage your notification groups and define how alerts are delivered when a rule is triggered.

Overview

Alert Action Groups allow you to bundle multiple recipients and notification methods (e.g., Email, Slack, SMS) into a single reusable object. This group can then be assigned to any number of Alert Rules.

Managing Alert Actions

Navigate to Monitoring > Alert Actions to view your existing groups. The list displays:

  • Group Name: The identifier for the action group.
  • User List: Members assigned to receive notifications.
  • Alert Method: Channels configured (e.g., Email, Slack).

Adding a New Action Group

  1. Click the Add New button (or "Add New Action Group").
  2. Details: Enter a descriptive Group Name.
  3. Users: Select the team members from your organization who should be notified.
  4. Notification Methods: Choose the channels to use (e.g., Email, SMS, Slack).
  5. Click Save to create the group.

Updating an Action Group

  1. Locate the group in the list.
  2. Click the Edit (pencil) icon.
  3. Modify the users or notification methods as needed.
  4. Click Save to apply changes.

Deleting an Action Group

  1. Click the Delete (trash) icon next to the group.
  2. Confirm the deletion in the dialog.

    Note: This will remove the action group from any Alert Rules currently using it.
